In the year 2006 a hybrid automaton disease spreading simulation software framework was developed. Using this framework the Brisbane influenza outbreak was modelled and simulated as well as validated. During the years the software was redeveloped using agent based simulation techniques and several master theses and a doctoral thesis was done in this field. In 2020 the software framework was used for generating prediction and scenario models for the SARS-Cov19 outbreak and models were computed for Tyrol (Austria) and South Tyrol (Italy). Since the beginning of 2020 the framework was named to surviral.at.
